How the Billing Cycle Works
When you subscribe, your billing cycle starts immediately and you are billed each month on the same date. Billing is handled through Stripe, so renewals fall on the same day of the month, adjusting for shorter months.
Example: Subscribe on January 15th, and your next bills fall on February 15th, March 15th, and so on.
Why a Monthly Cycle?
A calendar month cycle means:
- Fair pricing: You always get the full period you pay for
- Predictable billing: The same day of the month, every month
- Simple proration: Easy calculations when changing plans
Billing Date Examples
If you subscribe on the:
- 1st: Bills recur on the 1st
- 15th: Bills recur on the 15th
- 31st: Bills recur on the last day of the month for shorter months
Yearly Subscriptions
Annual plans work differently. They are billed once per year with a full year of access and cost the equivalent of ten monthly payments, so two months are effectively free compared to monthly billing.
