Is subscription on a 30-day basis or monthly basis?
Help Center Subscription • Last updated: 26 August, 2025Monthly subscriptions operate on a 30-day cycle, not a calendar month basis. This ensures consistent billing regardless of the month you subscribe.
How the billing cycle works
When you subscribe:
- Your billing cycle starts immediately
- You're billed every 30 days
- The same date recurs each period (adjusting for shorter months)
Example: Subscribe on January 15th, next bills are February 14th, March 16th, etc.
Why 30-day cycles?
We use 30-day cycles to ensure:
- Fair pricing: You always get the full period you pay for
- Predictable billing: Same interval regardless of month length
- Simple proration: Easy calculations when changing plans
Calendar month considerations
Unlike calendar-based billing:
- No confusion with February's shorter length
- No variable periods (28-31 days)
- Consistent value every billing cycle
Billing date examples
If you subscribe on the:
- 1st: Bills recur on the 1st (or last day if month is shorter)
- 15th: Bills recur on the 15th
- 31st: Bills recur on the 30th (or last day of month)
Yearly subscriptions
Annual plans work differently:
- Billed once per year
- 365 days of access
- 20% discount compared to monthly billing
Managing your billing date
Your billing date is set when you first subscribe. To change it:
- Cancel your current subscription
- Wait for it to expire
- Resubscribe on your preferred date
