Your needs may change over time, and PaperSurvey makes it simple to adjust your subscription accordingly. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time through your account settings, with fair prorated billing and no penalties.
Upgrading or Changing Your Plan
To modify your subscription:
- Go to your Subscription settings
- Select the plan that best fits your needs
- Confirm the change
Upgrades take effect immediately. Your new plan starts a fresh billing cycle on the day you upgrade, and unused time on your old plan is applied as credit to the first invoice, so there is no double billing or lost time. Before you confirm, the confirmation screen shows the exact amount that will be charged.
Example: If you are halfway through a $20/month plan and upgrade to $50/month, you will receive a $10 credit and pay $40 for your first month on the new plan. Your renewal date resets to the day you upgrade.
Downgrading Your Plan
Downgrading is scheduled rather than immediate. Choose a lower plan in your subscription settings and the change takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep your current plan and limits until then, there is no charge today, and you can cancel the scheduled change at any time before it takes effect. Your data and surveys remain fully intact.
Canceling Your Subscription
To cancel:
- Navigate to Subscription settings
- Click the red "Cancel" button
- Your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period
Important notes about cancellation:
- You keep full access until your billing period ends
- Your surveys, responses, and data are not deleted when you cancel
- You can reactivate anytime without losing your work
- No cancellation fees or penalties
Need to Pause Instead?
If you need a temporary break, cancel your subscription and your data stays safe. When you are ready to continue, simply resubscribe and pick up where you left off.
